As many as 562 cases of mucormycosis were reported in the state till date, out of which 76 lost their lives and only 153 were cured fully, the state health department said. The post-Covid complicated was notified as an epidemic in the state last month.

Bihar to start pensions for 2026 Covid-19 widows from June

The department has so far identified 2026 such widows, who lost their husbands and are from below poverty line (BPL) families, while 70% of them have also provided their bank account details for transfer of monthly pension of 400.
