The 2019 MAAC Libero of the Year is Alejandra Rodriguez of Quinnipiac University. Rodriguez ranked third in the MAAC with 4.79 digs per set. The senior recorded a season-high 37 digs in five sets against Manhattan on Oct. 6. Rodriguez also recorded 99 assists on the year, with a season-high coming against Niagara on Nov 16.

Canisius College was ranked third (74) and Quinnipiac University fourth (70) in the preseason poll. The Griffs and Bobcats met in the first round of the MAAC Championship tournament last season as Canisius got the victory, 3-1. Canisius would go on to make it to the championship game before falling to the Broncs, 3-1.
